MY STORY
PETER JURKIN, OWNER
Born and raised in Juba, South Sudan, Jurkin was given the opportunity to play for A-HOPE (the African Hoop Opportunities Providing an Education) which lead him to North Carolina. There he played professional basketball, meet his future wife a native of the Rio Grande Valley and thus his journey began.

Because of her unconditional love & support, she encouraged me to open up a store and Yummy's was established. She taught me how to cook, bake and be independent and a good man.
When you walk into our store the smell of freshly baked donuts will draw you in.

The day after he opened, city shut him down so he started giving free donuts away and quickly was a social media sensation especially during the BLM movement. Now in the same pandemic year he opened, he's opened another location in Harlingen, Texas inside Blanquitas Mexican Restaurant.
